The owner
Paul K. Oliver
Paul has been in the construction business and building custom homes since 1995 — 31 years. He started his own construction and project management company in 2006, and has run it himself ever since.
That matters more than it sounds. On most projects of this size, the person who sells you the job is not the person who runs it, and the person who runs it is not the person you can reach when something is wrong. Here they are the same person. Paul schedules the trades, meets the inspectors, checks the work and answers the phone.
The team
Our team of professionals gives you their undivided attention to make sure a custom build or renovation of your home or office goes smoothly. It is made up of quality craftsmen with years of experience in their own trades — the same carpenters, masons, electricians and tile setters, job after job, which is how the standard stays consistent.
Permits and inspections
Accent Plus Builders obtains all required state and county permits, from demolition through Residential Use Permits. We meet with each inspector along the way and keep you informed of the results.
It is worth being blunt about why this matters. Unpermitted work surfaces during a home inspection when you sell, and it turns into a price negotiation you will lose. A closed-out permit is a document that says the work was done to code and someone independent checked it.
Project management
We schedule and oversee all residential and commercial subcontract work, making sure it complies with state and county codes and matches the architectural drawings and specifications. We manage cost and schedule to deliver on time and within budget, and we run multiple projects and job sites concurrently.
We assist with the design and construction of additional rooms, custom bars, home theaters and condominium renovations. Other projects we have managed include the design and development of a dance studio and the build-out of office spaces.
