The housing in Ashburn
Most of Ashburn went up between the early 1990s and the mid 2010s, which puts a lot of homes right at the age where the original kitchen, baths and deck are all due at once. The bones are generally good — what dates them is the layout.
The recurring pattern here is a two-story colonial with a closed-off kitchen, an unfinished basement roughed in for a bathroom, and a small pressure-treated deck off the back that has reached the end of its life. All three are projects we do constantly.
